American Landmark Rolls Out AI-Powered Fitness to 50 Communities

American Landmark Apartments is making a strategic investment in amenity enhancements across a significant portion of its multifamily portfolio. The owner-operator is partnering with amp, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered fitness training system, to bring next-generation wellness equipment to its residents.

American Landmark started to install the training system in December across 50 properties in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

The wall-mounted amp delivers a personalized, trainer-led experience. The all-in-one device supports a wide range of workouts, including strength training, rehabilitation, and stretching. It is being integrated into existing fitness centers at the participating properties.

“At American Landmark, we are continuously evaluating ways to enhance the resident experience through thoughtful, forward-looking amenities,” said CEO Joe Lubeck. “This partnership reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of innovation by introducing new technologies that align with evolving resident preferences and wellness trends.”

According to American Landmark, incorporating AI-driven fitness solutions helps the owner-operator explore opportunities to elevate shared spaces while maintaining flexibility in existing fitness center layouts.

It also comes at a time when the industry is rethinking traditional on-site amenities to better meet the needs of today’s renters, with a growing emphasis on wellness.

“American Landmark understands that wellness is no longer a ‘nice to have’—it’s core to how people choose where they live,” said amp founder and CEO Shalom Meckenzie. “By integrating amp into their communities, they’re delivering a new standard of living—where intelligent and personalized fitness training is available right where life happens.”

Early resident feedback has been positive, with renters citing how simple, intuitive, and convenient the system is to use.

American Landmark, which owns and operates over 36,000 multifamily units in the Sun Belt and is ranked No. 26 on the National Multifamily Housing Council’s 2026 list of top apartment owners, noted it takes a holistic approach to enhancing the resident experience. It has been honored for its initiatives such as its Educator-in-Residence and Artist-in-Residence programs.

“Beyond amp, American Landmark continues to invest heavily in resident experience through wellness initiatives, community programming, upgraded amenity spaces, and technology that makes daily living more convenient,” added Lubeck.
