Kasa Expands Residential Hospitality Platform With Mint House Deal

Kasa, a leading hotel and apartment-hotel brand and manager, has entered into a strategic partnership with Mint House, a residential hospitality operator of nearly 1,000 units in key markets nationwide. As part of the transaction, Mint House’s properties will be integrated into Kasa’s platform.

With over 85 properties, Kasa serves as a short-term rental provider to multifamily owners and is a partner for institutions like Starwood Capital Group, Berkshire, and Brookfield. This transaction expands Kasa’s footprint across several high-growth markets, including Dallas; Nashville, Tennessee; St. Petersburg and Tampa, Florida; and Washington, D.C.

Under the terms, Kasa will take over the Mint House properties, including the landmark 70 Pine building in Lower Manhattan that features Michelin-starred restaurants Crown Shy and SAGA as well as a gourmet market and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

“This is an exciting opportunity to bring the strong teams and capabilities from both organizations on to a unified Kasa platform. We expect our combined scale to deliver meaningful operating efficiencies and stronger commercial outcomes for owners,” said Kasa founder and CEO Roman Pedan. “We’re thrilled to welcome Mint House’s buildings, owners, and guests into the Kasa network.”

According to Kasa, this strategic expansion reinforces its longstanding commitment to delivering high-tech, high-service hospitality. Like its existing portfolio, the Mint House properties will offer mobile-first check-in and 24/7 guest communications.

As part of the transaction, Mint House CEO Christian Lee will join Kasa as a senior adviser to support the transition and promote continuity for owners and partners.

“Kasa and Mint House have always been aligned in our asset-light models and guest-centric operating philosophy,” Lee said. “Our shared focus on operational excellence is why we chose Kasa for this transaction, and our close collaboration will ensure a smooth transition. We believe this transaction will drive further benefits to all properties that are part of the Kasa portfolio.”
