Chicago-based Albion Residential is doubling down on the St. Louis metro with two multifamily developments underway.
The firm, along with partners Koplar Properties and Theis Group, has broken ground on the 182-unit Magnolia Ridge in Des Peres, Missouri. This follows the groundbreaking of Albion West End, a 30-story tower that will serve as a gateway to St. Louis’ Central West End, in September.
“We’re believers in the long-term potential of the St. Louis area, and, when the opportunity to close on this project and break ground almost immediately presented itself, we did not hesitate,” said Andrew Yule, executive vice president of development and construction at Albion Residential, which focuses on the acquisition, development, and operation of Midwestern luxury apartment communities. “Magnolia Ridge will be a tremendous residential option in a great area of the city, and, along with our Albion West End project, we’re proud to double down on our investment in St. Louis.”
The five-story Magnolia Ridge will feature an array of amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center with a sauna and a yoga room; a private dining room; a game lounge; a resident speakeasy with wine lockers; and a pet-washing station and a dog run. Residents also will be able to enjoy the outdoor pool and pool house, which will feature a golf simulator and a mini mart. The development is expected to be completed in spring 2027.
Construction financing for the community is being provided by Old National Bank, with construction being led by Brinkmann Constructors.
Albion West End is expected to be completed in summer 2027. Financed by Pacific Life, the high-rise will feature 305 luxury units with studio to three-bedroom floor plans and ground-floor retail. Residents will have access to a resort-style pool deck, a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the city skyline, and hospitality-inspired communal spaces.
