Trammell Crow Residential (TCR) has expanded its national platform with new offices in Nashville, Tennessee, and Phoenix. According to the multifamily developer, this expansion will further strengthen its on-the-ground presence in two of the nation’s fastest-growing and most dynamic multifamily markets.
TCR has tapped Tom Lewis as managing director in Phoenix and Peter Davis as managing director in Nashville, both bringing regional expertise and extensive multifamily experience in their respective markets. Both offices are already pursuing active development opportunities, bringing the developer’s local presence to 16 key U.S. markets.
“With Phoenix and Nashville, we are continuing to invest in markets that demonstrate long-term population growth, strong employment fundamentals, and durable demand for high-quality rental housing,” said Ken Valach, CEO of TCR, the multifamily development platform of Crow Holdings, a privately owned real estate investment and development firm. “Equally important, we are doing so with proven leaders who understand their markets, share our values, and have a track record of delivering exceptional results. Tom and Peter are outstanding additions to our national leadership team.”
Valach added that growth for the company is never about growth for its own sake, saying, “It’s about being in the right markets, at the right time, with the right people. Phoenix and Nashville meet all of those criteria, and we see significant opportunity to create value for our partners and the communities we serve.”
Last year, TCR ranked No. 13 on the National Multifamily Housing Council’s top 25 multifamily developers, starting over 3,200 units in 2024. It has built more than 290,000 multifamily residences over 45 years.
In Phoenix, Lewis will be responsible for identifying and executing new market-rate development opportunities in the region. He brings over a decade of experience leading large-scale multifamily development across the Southwest.
“Phoenix continues to attract residents and employers at a remarkable pace, and the need for thoughtfully designed, well-located multifamily housing has never been greater,” said Lewis. “TCR’s platform, reputation, and long-term approach are uniquely suited to this market, and I’m excited to help build a presence that reflects the firm’s commitment to quality and partnership.”
Davis will lead TCR’s growth in Middle Tennessee, sourcing and executing new development and investment opportunities while fostering local relationships. He brings a diverse background spanning acquisitions, development, finance, and capital markets to the role.
“Nashville’s evolution into a major economic and cultural hub has created sustained demand for new housing options,” said Davis. “TCR has a decadeslong legacy of developing communities that benefit residents, enhance neighborhoods, and create long-term value. I look forward to establishing a strong local platform and contributing to the firm’s continued national growth.”
