Multifamily Executive Conference Goes Virtual

The annual Multifamily Executive Conference, which was slated for Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 in Las Vegas, has shifted to a virtual event due to the ongoing concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The complimentary virtual event will take place on the same dates, and the content has been adapted to fit a new and engaging online format with a line-up of high-quality industry speakers.

“We waited as long as we could for the outlook for in-person events to improve, but unfortunately the decision to change course appears to be the best option,” says Rob Britt, vice president of multifamily at Hanley Wood. “After extensive collaboration and research, we are very confident in our ability to deliver an engaging experience for all participants using our new technology platform and network of industry expertise.”

The virtual conference will help multifamily leaders navigate these uncertain times created by the pandemic and will provide attendees with the insight needed to survive the challenges and strengthen their businesses for the future.

The agenda will focus on three different tracks: leadership, technology, and development. Highlights include:

Sept. 30: Leadership

Oct. 1: Technology

Plus, Andrew Ackerman, managing director of UrbanTech and Dream It Ventures, will take attendees through three pitches from multifamily innovators, with the audience voting for the most compelling innovation.

Oct. 2: Development

Leading developers Rosie Cooper, vice president and development manager at JPI, James Schloemer, CEO of Continental Properties, and Samuel Simone, senior managing director at Mill Creek Residential Trust, will take an in-depth look into how they are learning to move faster with fewer resources, and in some cases, with more challenges. Making modular work, meeting net-zero energy goals, reframing the rent control discussion for opportunity, and addressing NIMBYism with a thoughtful message and cause will round out the day’s coverage.

Attendance is reserved exclusively for multifamily industry property executives, developers, architects, builders, and other real estate executives. To register for the complimentary virtual conference or see the full agenda, please visit https://cvent.me/zRYR8w?RefId=editorial.
