Peloton Powers Mixed-Use Community in Utah

Utah City, a new 700-acre, mixed-use development in Vineyard, Utah, is touted as the nation’s only Peloton-powered community. As part of a partnership with Peloton, the development’s residential buildings will feature Peloton Spaces, a co-branded area with Utah City, that includes state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

A partnership between The Flagship Cos. and Woodbury Corp., Utah City  introduced its first phase of residential living this summer with the opening of 120 Bend, which offers a collection of living options from smart studios to three-bedrooms. Sister property 220 Bend is slated to open in January and will expand the living options with additional amenities, fitness facilities, and social spaces. The mixed-use development, designed by city planner Jeff Speck and DPZ with a focus on walkability and wellness, also will feature a 20-acre Huntsman Cancer Institute campus.

“One of the most exciting aspects of building a walkable city like Utah City, closely connected to nature, is designing for everyday well-being. Our partnership with Peloton brings world-class fitness right where our residents live, helping us deliver on our promise to make wellness accessible and easy,” says Jacklyn Briggs, director of marketing at Utah City. “It’s a unique offering that today’s residents are actively seeking. It’s the idea of resort-style living that makes people fall in love with where they live.”

The partnership kicked off with Peloton yoga instructor Kirra Michel leading a free, outdoor class for the public with over 200 people in attendance. Each multifamily building is equipped with Peloton Bike and Peloton Row equipment, and it will be among the first communities in the nation to introduce the commercial Peloton Tread+ Pro in January. Residents can find private Peloton-powered workout pods and spacious gyms, and they can also take advantage of the Peloton IQ features, which include personalized plans, performance estimates, progress tracking, and other data.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with Utah City, a forward-thinking development that shares our commitment to wellness and community,” says Greg Hybl, senior vice president and general manager at Peloton for Business. “For the first time, Peloton will serve as the primary fitness partner for an entire residential development, with Peloton’s full Pro Series Line available to residents soon. We believe this collaboration sets a new standard for wellness in large-scale developments, and we are proud to be a part of it.”
